Example Colors

These exact colors and many, many more can be found in our quilling supplies shop.

Step 1: Create The Outer Earring Forms.

Use your stacked quilling form and 2 whole strips of 2 different colored quilling paper on the 2 5/8" tier. Create a closed coil ring with the inside color & glue to secure. Seamlessly attach your outside color with a small amount of glue and then complete the ring. Carefully slide the ring from the form and set aside. Make 2.

Step 2: Shape Rings Into Tear Drop Shapes.

Step 3: Quill Inside Open Coils & Shape.

Using 1/2 strips of paper in 4 colors, quill open coils and glue ends to secure. Make 8 total. Once made, turn

Step 4: Glue Together.

Making sure the coils are all facing in the same direction, use a small amount of quilling glue along the sides of teardrops and attach together as shown in the image to the left.

Step 5: Insert Inner Teardrops Into Outer Teardrops.

Use a very small smear of glue along the long edge of the inner teardrops and carefully insert into the outer shapes. You may need to lightly squeeze the outer shape to make this process a bit easier. Once in place, use the needle tip on your glue bottle to add a bit of glue to all touching spots.

Step 6: Roll & Attach The Tops.

Using the 2 quarter strips, roll closed coils with your quilling tool. Once dry, attach to the peak of your earring with a generous strip of glue.

Step 7: Finish Or Seal.

Once the glue has had time to dry, you may choose to paint on a sealer or use a finishing spray to protect your new earrings.

Final Step: Make More & Add Ear Wires
